Shopping.
Well, I am eventually home. I had a lovely drive home. My Auntie came and picked me up and she had her new car, a shiny new white range rover. So that meant a very comfy ride home. I brought a lot back with me, mostly clothes and washing, only two handbags and five pairs of shoes. I don’t really understand how I actually had so much stuff to carry. Being back home is lovely but stressful...

Calvin Klein, Spring Ready To Wear 2012.
Again, I sit at my laptop traipsing through slide show after slide show on style.com. I make it sound like such a chore, but no, I don’t really know what I’d rather be doing than being sat in my warm bed on a cold evening flicking through slide shows of beautiful clothes. Of course being at the shows would be nice but that is just too much of a fantasy. Lately, well...

Zara.
Zara has definitely become my favourite high-street shop. Everything in there just looks so chic and sophisticated. I also think that Zara stores have the best looking interior in regards to shopping. Always such a lovely shopping experience. This is just a little selection of wishlist items that I want from Zara!  Shirt Dress, £25.99 This dress is from the TRF section. I actually bought this...

The next year.
Started to look at inspiration for purchases from Spring/Summer 2012, as I don’t want to spend a lot on clothing that cannot be worn throughout next year. Though I remember when looking through style.com I was getting more excited about the Resort 2012 collections. This post really shows my favourites from S/S 2012 and Resort. Christopher Kane S/S Ready To Wear 2012. I must admit I did...

Week in pictures.
I thought it was about time I did a post about my uni room. I hadn’t even taken any pictures up until last night but for some reason I went on a mad tidying spree and the results were so nice I had to take pictures… This is what I refer to as my girly shelf. At uni I discovered I’m not as girly as I thought. At home I always thought I was quite a girly girl but living here...

Online sites.
I decided to look into other websites beside the usual ones I look at; Topshop.com, Zara.com, Riverisland.com, and Urbanoutfitters.co.uk. I’ve always been intrigued with cheaper sites that seem to duplicate the clothes from the above just about a month later. I looked at Forever 21, Boohoo, Miss Guided, and Desire Clothing. I have to say I was very impressed with the websites, in regards to...

Christmas Wishlist.
I have to admit, I usually do buy into the whole ‘over-priced’ gift sets you get from certain places. At Christmas I have to hold myself back from buying the little pieces. A few weeks ago I had a friend come to stay and we went to John Lewis. One of my my first times in the store and we were both blown away. No idea why we got quite so excited about every single little thing in the...

Money. And my week in pictures.
Usually posts about money will probably be about lack of money, but today I checked my bank balance and received a substanstial sum from work. When I say work, it’s not my current work, as you know I’m a student. The company I used to work for about 2 and half months ago decided to pay me. No idea why, but I thought I might as well start Christmas shopping. Mother will be getting a...

Lingerie.
I don’t think I have ever done a post just about lingerie. Obviously, we are always wearing underwear, but it’s only occasionally that I bother making it match or wearing a particular beautiful set. I think with some money I get for Christmas (if any) I shall go on a nice spending spree for a bit of new underwear. I have to admit I hate paying for lingerie. Overpriced is certainly the word that...

Ok, I've been terrible at this blogging lately.
So in the past month and a half, I have moved to Southampton to study Fashion Writing and Culture which has put me a bit out of sync with blogging. I also had a boyfriend break up. One way to mess up your brain. Starting to get over it. Just trying to keep busy, drink lots of wine and get on with life.. After turning my nose up at most of the A/W Topshop collection, I succumbed to buying into...

Finally bought the cuffs I've been wanting.
I researched the internet for hours on end looking for silver cuffs. I was inspired by basicappeal.blogspot.com’s style majorly over the past few months. And her cuffs were beautiful. I searched eBay but the cheapest I could find was about £12 each and I wanted a pair. This was quite out of my price budget to be fair. Browsing H & M on Friday I discovered the perfect pair for only...

Chanel S/S 2012
Chanel 2012 Ready to Wear S/S Flicking through slide-by-slide of the Chanel show disappointed me. The excitement that occurred while looking at Christopher Kane’s or Peter Pilotto collections just wasn’t present within me. This disappointment just burrowed deeper and deeper bar maybe 3 or 4 outfits. But Chanel being Chanel I don’t think this should have been the case. Yes, lots of the collection...

The NEXT Season.
Well, even if Autumn hasn’t properly started yet and the UK has decided to have an Indian Summer, I certainly am getting excited for NEXT seasons clothes. After spending time focusing on University moving, and settling in, I’ve missed all the recent fashion weeks. So I have decided that today and part of tomorrow to try and catch up on all the latest shows, new stock on websites and...

Perfect Black Trousers.
This is all I need alongside a new coat and a new maxi skirt to completely my autumn wardrobe really. I successfully bought a pair of black boots for winter, and I love them. They have a bit of heel which I love because I’m so small. I just want to wear them all the time.  I also purchased a jumper, similar to the one previously posted but brighter colours, I thought I best go with...

Jumper...
I had a very bad incident with a Zara jumper the other day. For one, the delivery woke me up from a very intense nap. And then when I opened it, it looked the wrong colour. Then when I tried it on it made me look about size 20. I was not impressed at all. On a whim I decided to send the jumper back and keep the most gorgeous black body con dress from Topshop. It’s now sold out so...

iPad
Honestly, there aren’t many incredible fashion iPad apps out there. The obvious Elle Collections, and for me the Zara app but the Net-a-Porter app is absolutely beautiful. I don’t know why I check it so erratically, it’s not like I have a busy life at the moment but as this publication comes out weekly, I always end up having to read two or three in a row. I made that sound...

Fall - Yet again, what a surprise.
I really just can’t help but think about all the clothes that need to be bought for the next few months. I don’t have that much to get thank god. Just basics really, because I’m going to try and go simple with clothes so I can mix and match a lot and get more wear out of them. I always end up just wearing clothes maybe 4 or five times a season, or I have those couple of items...

Fall 2011
All that is on my mind lately is the Fall 2011 shows and the Resort 2012 shows. Fall though, is only in a few months and therefore captivating my attention a hell of a lot more. As for today, all I have done is written out wishlists, avidly gone through Fall 2011 shows on Style.com and plan out outfits for fall. Lots of people my age have gone down the whole vintage route lately, and while I...

Shopping.
I have started to buy things for Fall. In a few months I am going to be completely out of money and therefore have started to buy things now. Purchased some lovely shoes from Topshop.com, literally I haven’t been so in love with something since my Zara bag. Which, well wasn’t that long ago but still. Takes a lot for me to fall deeply in love with things. I apologize for the big...

Preen - Resort 2012
While my favourite so far have been Stella McCartney, I have also fallen in love with the Preen Resort collection. I don’t see it so much as original, it feels like I’ve seen a lot of it elsewhere really but to me, this is still a beautiful collection. These are my favourite looks from the collection. I prefer the brighter items, particularly the pinks and yellow. I think...

jessicarose1993 asked: Nice tumblr!! I found you from one of your comments on Oh Emma blog.
I am from England too and maybe an aspiring journalist, I'm undecided even though I might be doing it an uni next year :P
Are you doing your A-Levels?

Gone crazy shopping lately.
I really have. It kind of sickens me at home much money I spend. Most recent purchase are some black leather shorts that I purchased on ebay but were orginally from Miss Selfridge. One of my favourite recent buys has to the aback and white striped maxi dress from H&M which I know everybody seems to have but I can see it becoming a staple in my wardrobe. I was inspired to buy one from the...

Despite not even being the end of April yet, I am getting surprisingly excited for Fall. I find it very odd at how ‘minimalistic’ I have gone since last Winter. I was constantly wearing patterns, and clashing them. I seem to now be going down the Jil Sander root but hope to spice that up by September. I want to invest in a range of trousers. A selection I can wear and mix and match at...

I just wanted to share this blog. I’ve always loved her looks on LOOKBOOK.nu and only just recently seen she had her own blog. Her blog is such a lovely one and my favourite self style blog I think. The outfits feature many high street stores and show that you don’t have to wear an obscene amount of vintage and designer goods to look stylish. Everyone should keep watch on this blog.

Abbey Lee Kershaw
It’s weird that I’ve only just started to really take notice of Abbey Lee Kershaw. Clearly one of the biggest models for 2010, but well she just passed me by really. I don’t know what it was about her, I just didn’t give her a thought. Yeah she was pretty, yeah she could model, but nothing jumped out at me. This was until I saw her in the Terry Richardson...

BRING ME THE HORIZON - THERE IS A HELL BELIEVE ME...
Bring Me The Horizon often get a lot of hatred for their music, it’s said to be commercial and that Oli Sykes is a ‘douche’. Though I find it hard to say that their music is rubbish, far from it my opinion. After first listening to ‘Count Your Blessings’ years and years ago, I completely hated them, all it sounded like was noise. As their music developed and i started to really listen I gradually...

Luella's Guide To English Style - Review/Style...
Having not read any reviews of this book before purchasing, I really am delighted. Luella has created my favourite book. It was such a shame when the Luella Label broke down, I’ve always loved her collections, just the atmosphere that her clothes seem to give off. Inside her book she briefly depicts who the Luella Girl was, and she was English. Beautifully written by an ex Vogue Journalist...

Nokia E72 Review & Comparison to E71.
Having being a self confessed Nokia fan for many years now, stemming from my love of the classic Nokia 3330, I again chose my upgrade to the Nokia E72. The E71 had been my favourite phone by far and well, still probably is. There is nothing exactly wrong with the E72, it just seems to lack in usability which the E71 did greatly. To start off with the feel of the phone: The E72 has a lovely...

My Introduction
Fashion is a subject that is constantly evolving and developing. Even over the shortest periods of time fashion can change. In this study I shall explore what I believe to be the pivotal points of the fashion industry in the past two decades. The pivotal points being moments that have shaped the fashion industry and changed them, good or bad, controversial or just positive. It could also be said...

First Post
This blog is mainly going to consist of pictures and my fashion writing. At the moment I am undertaking an extended project at college based on pivotal points of fashion. Therefore I shall probably post a lot of things I have written for that. Which I shall start with.
